Unbox & Acclimatize
- Carefully open the package β inspect leaves and roots for any transit stress.
- Place the plant in a shaded, cool area for 1β2 days before shifting to its final spot.
- Do NOT water immediately after delivery β let the plant settle first.
Choose the Right Location
- Choose an open sunny spot β this plant needs: Full sun to partial shade. Most berry plants need 4-6 hours of diβ¦
- Ensure good air circulation. Avoid low-lying spots where water can collect.
- For pot growing: choose a container 2β3 inches wider than the nursery bag.
Prepare Soil & Container
- Rich, well-draining soil. Slightly acidic preferred (pH 5.5β6.5). Add peat moss for acidity.β¦
- Add a 1β2 inch layer of gravel or broken pot pieces at the bottom for drainage.
- Fill the pot 1/3 with your prepared mix before placing the plant.
Plant the Sapling
- Cut the nursery bag carefully from the sides β never pull the plant out by its stem.
- Place the root ball in the centre. Keep the graft joint (knobby bump) above soil level.
- Fill soil around the roots firmly, pressing gently to remove air pockets.
First Watering
- Water slowly and thoroughly until water drains freely from the bottom holes.
- Ensure your pot has at least one drainage hole β waterlogging kills roots fast.
